Do your pottery "hats" have crossed grooves on the bottom? They look like what someone on here once identified as carboy stoppers.

I have found several of those pottery "hats" at a digging spot I frequently dig. I wasn't sure what they were.

Here are a couple of pics of those things- no lines on the bottom. They are 1 1/2 " tall, and unglazed.
