mold variations in Doyle's/Dr. Soule's

Hi Brian...

It seems that there may be one particular hop pattern that is associated with the basal embossment: "E3". I'm including a picture of one I recently bought. I've seen at least two on ebay lately... Do you have any "E3"'s? Do any of the patterns vary from this photo?

I had missed your post.....sorry !
I have had only 2 " E 3's " on the base. And one that had " E 1 " on the base. If I remember correctly the Hop berries and leaves motif was the same as pictured on your example or very close to it. It seems that the E 3 's tend to have a somewhat longer neck than some of the other molds. Just my observation anyway.
I wish I still had my grouping ..and could examine them more closely , and compare for simularities.
