well, after reading a few articles about the owens-illinois bottle co. I have identified my "type" of makers mark and confirmed that my bottle was probably used for Cream. Also I have confirmed the numbers to the left of the MM (17) which proves where the bottle was made. It was made in Clarion, PA. The number to the right of the MM is used to represent the year the bottle was produced. In this case my bottle was made in 1947 from what I have learned. Thanks again for helping me.
I was wondering if this bottle is something worth keeping, or if it is worth checking the site out again for similarities?? Also....are the mason jars anything worth keeping?? Im guessing they are around the same date as the others. Most of the bottles Ive pulled from this area seem to be from the mid to late 40's
