My 9 year old son dug this bottle Sunday in Galveston. It's cracked but he insisted we bring it home and now I'm glad he did. I was washing it and something in the back of my mind told me something wasn't quite right...and sure enough, take a look at this. Mold maker accidently put in a T instead of an S. Never seen one before and can't find any record of one online. It was a rough day otherwise but this is pretty cool.

Mrs. Winslow's Soothing Syrup was for soothing teething babies, but they were not embossed this way-they always said "soothing syrup". I imagine it would have been "teething" rather than "toothing" regardless. Nonetheless, the mold maker probably got confused and cut the wrong letter. Quality control by Curtis & Perkins was always very good; of the likely hundreds of mold variants I have seen of these, this is the very first I have seen with any sort of an error.
