I acquired this very early tumbler or drinking vessel. The color and style matches known glassware made at the Mt.Vernon Glass Company in New York State.I have taken a picture of it next to an old hat whimsey from the Vernon Glass works which has good solid attribution and provenance to it.The color of the tumbler is a perfect match with the hat whimsey. There is a large 1/4 inch diameter potstone located in the bottom of the glass and many smaller ones are located through out the rest of the piece. The glass is a very pretty green very similar to the Tippecanoe cabin bottles in the Corning museum. This tumbler is in excellent shape and has a rather large pontil mark it.It is shaped like a barrel and is 3 and 3/4 inches tall and 3 inches round at its widest the mid point of the glass. The glass was purchased from an antique dealer in the Southern Adirondack region of New York.I really like this color green as it is very unique.CazDigger or Wolfbp or anyone with good knowledge of these works what do you think?
