YOU CAN HEAT A SEWING NEEDLE A FINE POINT ONE AND GENTLY TRY TO PRICK THE BACK. THAT WILL TELL YOU IF IT'S PLASTIC OR NOT. I LOVE OLD JEWELRY.... I'VE DONE THAT TRICK TO TELL BEFORE. GOOD LUCK. [;)]

Thanks for the help Warren! He said its probably from southeastern europe the stone is glass and the Bezel is steel and was gold plated.

I am from Eastern Europe and I think he is right. My great grandmother used to have one of these.
