Can anyone help me identify this flask? This is a 1/2 pint, cobalt blue flask. It has a picture of George Washington on the front and a sheath of wheat on the back.

Hi vaflask !
Can you post some more pics.....close up of base , both sides , and the neck/lip area ?
GI-59 possibly ????
If your flask is a real McCoy in that coloration...... you'd be looking at $ 10,000.00 plus at public auction . Like to see some better pics.

Looks like it could possibly be original, if it is a fake it's a good one. You need to take that to an appraiser who can look it over in person. Brian could be right, don't sell it till you know for sure what it is.

Be aware though; there are a lot of extremely good fakes out there, the provenance will be important. Nice find no matter what it is!

VAFLASK...just found this thread...
BRIAN is correct...looks like it may be GI-59 which is known in sapphire blue...Very nice flask.
If selling, I'd consign it to either Norman Heckler Auctions or to Glassworks Auctions...Both are reputable firms....and they know their bottles.
They do have websites...just search Google for their names as noted above...
