Northville, MI. The original spring was located on the railroad right-of-way (the RR runs on the east side of the city) and had been used by the public since 1913. The Silver Springs Water Company was established in 1928 on three acres of land on the east side of the RR tracks. In 1931 it was estimated that some 1,000,000 gallons of spring water had been produced by the company in the previous three years.

The company also produced a full line of soft drinks, including Pale Dry Gingerale and Carbonated Water.

W.L. Beamer of Detroit originally owned the company, and it was managed by J. Johnson
