new ebay acquisition

This was won for minimum bid, very reasonable I believe. Got it from one of the advanced collectors up in the Northern Bay Area. I've got a couple hundred local druggists but have never seen one of these before. Vintage 1890s - TOC.

Jason, the bottle is listed in Edrick Miller's book on California Pharmacy Bottles but with little to no information on rarity so I suspect it is Very Rare. There are no other listings for Brenner Brothers so that makes it even better in my opinion. Congratulations. Jim

Here's another recent find from this morning on ebay. This is a local druggist I'd only ever heard about but never seen. Offered as a "buy it now" so I made a fast couple of clicks.

That one is NOT LISTED in Miller's book so it must be RARE to EXTREMELY RARE. Congratulations! It actually makes me happy when this happens. [][][] Jim

On average during a given year I manage to find maybe 3 or 4 worthy additions of local druggist bottles to the collection, including either size, embossing variants or previously unseen druggists. This year I am getting close to 20 new additions. That hasn't happened in over ten years.
