any New Orleans area diggers on this forum?
I'll be in the area the week before Thanksgiving for a family vacation. My son (17yrs old) and I would love to tag along for a dig. We're fairly experienced diggers and would love the chance to dig in the Big Easy!

mmmm, dave beeler. never met him personally but......... well i was warned to steer clear by some elder diggers. again, never met him personally though. have talked to him, he did invite me to go to new orleans to dig with him. never took him up on the offer.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't endorsing Beeler, I was just giving the name and letting the fella making the request form an opinion. He might have gotten some good info from your post (grin).
When you consistantly hear the same things from people whose opinions you value, there must be some foundation to it.
