It's been a while since my last dig, and I went out with two ladies who recently joined the club. One of the women was looking for a good spot for her two young kids to dig. I took them to an easy to dig 1930-50s dump. It is very exposed and was well dug in areas. That didn't keep us from having fun and finding some worthwhile stuff.

My favorite finds were a brass padlock and a brass lighthouse.

Neat stuff RIB. Are you going to try to polish them? Does the lock mechanism still work (or is it seized up)?

I really like the patina they have, so I'll probably leave them alone. I have not investigated the lock mechanism, but would need someone with a matching key or a lock picking kit.

I agree that they cleaned up nice enough.
