Recently picked up this Nichol Kola Bottling CO Thirst Checker bottle from Mt Airy MD. N K B CO is all the embossing besides the town and Thirst Checker around the shoulder.
Nichol Kola opened a plant in Mt Airy MD in 1938 which puts the date of this bottle sometime after that.
I lived in this small town for 2 yrs back in 1987 and never knew this info until this year.
I also have the Tri County Thirst Checker from Elkridge MD that mimics this bottle, also know of a similar Penn Mar from Hagerstown MD bottled by 7up.
There was an earlier post of this bottle on this site that helped me gather info.
