Thats an odd looking piece Busz, is the panel (for want of a better term) on the front embossed or sunken into the bottle ?
Any chance on a photo of the base ?

Looks like some kind of 19th century decanter to me. Just a guess.[]

Just a guess, but maybe part of an antique oil lamp?

The top dosn't look right for a lamp but the rest of it is the right shape to be a lamp, I must admit I had not thought of that [] .

Buzz, it appears from your photo that the glass was formed in a whittle mold, is the glass wavy or is it the background showing thru - destorting appearance? edit - Also the lowel left side of the bottle there appears to be a horizontal seam - is there a seam around the bottle, about 1'' above the base?

and a join 1' from base.
