But it is kind of a blob...
Anyone ever hear of a machine-made blob?
"REGISTERED / THE CONNECTICUT / BREWERIES / BRIDGEPORT, CONN. // THIS BOTTLE / NOT TO BE SOLD" on front.
Back heel reads a questionable maker's-mark: "G. G. CO."
Base reads, "79 / G"
Unlisted variation, or is it just not where I look due to modernity? Heck, what is it really? Bubbles in glass, aqua, plate-mold, machine-made, strongly-embossed.
Two seams on each side till mouth.

I'll try for better pictures on another day...
Notice the ring around the mouth, the bubbles in a column, the bubble in the mouth itself, and the seams?
Pic one's black lines are the seams. The one true seam on each end ends on top the lip with a little bump.
Really nice bottle, whatever it is.
Ideas on when made???
I have to do research on the brewery itself, but if anyone knows anything off the top of his head, feel free to share.

Click here to see other variations. The second has the "79" on base, but the bottle is not the same.
Information keeps bouncing, so as of yet I will not say what I've found on the Brewery's history.

I have had a couple of machine made blobs. The lightning type stoppers were in use on beer bottles up to the time of prohibition. I would think that some bottlers would have continued to use this style for a variety of reasons including "we've always done it that way" . Without looking it up, I think it is Graham Glass. Looks nice. Keep in mind it is still almost 100 years old.Scott

I'm unsure. It could be Gayner or Graham or Glenshaw or...? I went here to try and figure it out, but this mark is not listed. The base's G is the best guess.
Thanks for the help. I've never seen a machine-made blob before.
