Yep. We'll get some pictures up. I have some stuff in glass jars too, Chris. I love the odds and ends I find. I sometimes send buttons to my friends as they are supposed to be good luck. Has anyone else heard that? At any rate, no pun intended, you can put at least two buttons in with any regular sized envelope and it does not increase the postage.
I have one shell button. The rest have always crumbled when they are unearthed. I'd like to dig one of the cut-outs for the shell buttons some day. I even saved a lice comb once, just because it was so weird. Can you imagine having to comb your hair for lice all the time? Yuck![:-]
I like syringes, too. We usually find just the glass plungers, which came in some great colors. The guys didn't know how much I like them and said they'd been throwing them away as we dug!
I do the same with my marbles. I also have fruit jars full of fossils, seashells and several other "things" I've managed to accumulate. I LOVE digging old Bottles... but this stuff is way cooler. Between the Pipes, Toothbrushes, Marbles, Buttons and everything else it's hard to not get bitten by several Bugs while enjoying this hobby.
I searched for arrowheads and NA Artifacts for close to a decade before I ever got interested in glass. I can't tell you how Much of this stuff I left laying in the dirt cause it wasn't OLD ANCIENT ARTIFACTS!!! LOL Kick myself every time wondering what the Marble, Insulator, Bottle, or Button actually WAS???
Keep em coming... I like this stuff as much as Bottles and Arrowheads.
