Hey guys! I'm Alex. Was wondering if anybody had any info they could provide with helping me figure out anything about this old bottle. I'm a fairly new collector- past couple years- after I started finding old bottles in the canyons while walking my dogs. I've spent quite a bit of time educating myself on what to look for, makers marks, designs, techniques, etc. But this one has me stumped. It's such a mess- haha :) Tons of seeds and blisters in the glass, so I'm guessing mouth-blown, but also has mold seams- albeit super crazy, uneven, all over the place mold seams. With a jacked-up, uneven bottom, and what seems to me to be a more modern external screw thread finish top. Besides the 2 circles (O's?) on the bottom, no other ID marks. Maybe Owens? Also when I first found it, mostly buried, it had a very strong menthol odor. Driving me nuts- haha- any help would be appreciated :)

This appears to be a machine-made bottle, perhaps 85 to 100 years old. The rings are valve marks where the glass was injected into the mold. It is crudely-made for its age, Alex, but there is not much collector interest in machine bottles. Keep lookin' down!

Thank you! I guess when I say 'collector', referring to myself, I mean collecting just for me. I love these old vintage bottles I find and like to get as much info as I can about them. I appreciate your time!! Thanks alot :)

I agree with Harry, 85-100 yrs old, The only thing I can add would be that it is quite possibly an English made bottle, from looking at the base, a lot of English bottles have that dimple shaped area that follows the contour of the sides, under where the suction rings are. And English bottles were much cruder than ours during that time frame 1900-1920.....Andy

Yeah like Andy said it strikes me as a European bottle, I don't see many bottles looking like that made on this side of the pond.
