Old jug from the school dump

I found this back in Nov. The bottom was sticking out of the hillside. I figured it was broken like most I've found here, but I HAD to check it out. To my surprise it was whole, except for a few chips here and there. I have no idea as to the age. A large clay marble rolled out of the hole when I got the jug free. Oh yea, the whole time I was digging I never noticed the enormous bees nest in the dead tree not 5 feet from me. I guess I'm lucky they didn't notice me either. LOL. stoneware jugs like yours are usually from around 1900-1920. lets see the clay marble!!

Not a very high end find, the marble may be actually worth more than the jug[]. Get a shovel and kill them bees! See what's not just sticking out of the ground over there and let us know.
