Just felt like sharing one of my other hobbies with you. I got my own weather station, and I have it updating my website. My website can be found at http://monmouthcountyweather.com.
It records all of that, and pressure, except snow can be off a bit. The rain gauge isn't heated. They do sell higher end models with heated rain gauges, but I don't need to be that fancy.
was never much into weather until I moved up here near relatives to go to school. I remember getting to my grandfather's street and having to park at the edge of the highway (just a 2lane) and either wait for my uncles to come get us on snowmobiles or pull out the snowshoes and hike it the 1 1/2miles. when the county finally started plowing there, we'd pull up into grandpa's yard and the snow in the yard would be higher than our van.
same thing in the spring thaw. mud so bad we had to walk through the woods to get there.
Lake Superior winters get cold and bitter, yet beautiful too. Especially at the break wall.
Just wanted to mention that I did a complete redesign to the website, added a forum for news, and relocated my station. I think the website is a little nicer now, so if you are interested, check it out. http://monmouthcountyweather.com. Pictures of the station can be found here: http://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=18657.0
