I think I'll stick to bottles, I tried panning on the beach once but all I got was sea glass and bottle caps. lol How much does 7.9 g? work out to valuewise?
Hey Kim, What is a good day prospecting? I worked in Alaska for a few years [comercial fishing] and my crew was from Seward and most had done some prospecting and showed me some pretty impressive nuggets. They had pumps [in inner tubes] for dredging the bottoms of streams and creeks. Gold at the time was about 800 an oz. too that helped I'm sure. I guess we are glass prospecting and tresure hunting also. Pretty cool though

Hey All
A good days prospecting is just finding one peice, doesn't matter how big or small. Very rarely do we come home empty handed. When we went away for ten days and found six ounces, but weekend detecting restricts us to an average of one ounce per weekend. it's not a bad way to earn pocket money, and it is very enjoyable.
I guess it would be like digging a whopper of a hole and finding just one good bottle.
I like the "Goldfeilds Bottles", very good answer.lol.
Regards Kim
