I just found this site---and am thrilled. I have run across several bottles in the last year and had trouble finding out anything about each and every one of them! I spent hours on the internet!!! Hopefully this board can help me out!

After searching, the best I can come up with is this is an Owens Illinois medicinal bottle. It is 3-sided, 6 inches long. It has the screw top and OWENS embossed on two sides. But I cannot figure out what it was used for. It was found in a home we are clearing out.

It also has a makers mark on the bottom...a square with an "O" in the square.

I have tried to upload, and I am no dummy, followed the help directions, but I can't get my picture to upload. (Alert says: There was an error saving the file to the disk). Any help with that, too, will be appreciated!

I appreciate any help anyone can give me! Thanks!

I have tried several things to get the pictures to upload...but not successful so far. I am on a Mac G-5---if that makes a difference. Still, I hope someone can tell me something about my bottle--and how to post the pictures! Thanks all. J.

Ah---with the help of the fine support team...I am now able to post a picture of my Owens bottle! Any help for its former use, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

I am very impressed with the speed and accuracy of this sites support team! Thanks! J.

I have seen those bottles befor without the "Owens" embossed on them but thats the first cap I have seen.

I'd say it's from the 1920s. Very cool.
