I found this bottle out in the woods near my school. I did some of my own research and it seems to be an Owens-Illinois bottle from 31. It also seems to be the same bottle as the image from the patent I found online. Does anyone know what it was used to hold? I haven't been able to find any other information on what the bottle was used for. Here's the Patent http://www.google.com/patents/USD85379 [attachment=20150328_235042.jpg]

Hi and welcome. Nice job finding the patent for that. I don't know for sure but it looks a lot like the La Choy soy sauce bottle I have in the fridge now.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I looked up the history of the company, and it was originally sold in Detroit, and I found the bottle in a suburb. Thanks for the help
