Do you have any idea what the O. B. CO. stands for on the heel of a ss coke? Is it the Ohio Bottle Company?

Hi, Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I'm not sure what maker that is. Bill Porter's guess in his Coke Bottle Checklist is Owens Bottle Company. That's about all I can tell you. It is a common mark.

O.B.CO.................Ohio Bottle Company, Newark OH (1904-1905). Short-lived merger of 3 factories. Later merged with several other plants to form the American Bottle Company.

Thanks for the replies. I saw that stumpknocker, but also read where they used c. instead of co. Then McCoke says it is a common mark. If the company was in business for that short amount of time how common could the marks be? Still confused.
