Panama Railroad Company Bottle

Hi Folks!

Just returned from a trip to Panama where my husband obtained a Panama Railroad Company bottle from a local Panamanian. Unsure as to what it is.. it is about 11 1/2 inches high and about 3 inches at the base. It is textured clear glass with these three lines 1) Panama Railroad Company 2) Industrial Laboratory 3) Commissary Division. It does have a seam on the sides but the seam does not go through the crown top. Any help on this find would be greatly appreciated!

hello sporty, i did find a little info on your bottle, this info was posted under a pic of these bottles.

Commissary Division, Panama Railroad Industrial Laboratory Soda Bottles. These bottles were used when the Panama Canal bottled their own brand of soda pop.

Your bottle would date between 1920 and 1948. The Supply Department of the Commissary Division began sometime in 1917 and the Industrial Laboratories Section was added in 1920. In 1948, a new bottle with red painted-on label had been introduced.
