Hello all -
I picked this up with some others on the way back from up north weeks ago. It's 3 15/16" tall-long by 1 1/4" wide. It's a blown bottle and a bit crude. Embossed in a ruffled diamond shaped outline area: CAPSULES / DE / A. COGNET / PARIS. The base is embossed with a faint A C or A G. It was mixed in a whole bunch of racks full of poison bottles, mostly English. It stood out and I brought it home 'cause it was different.

Google seach results are all French to me on this one, but none really seemed to match up there anyway.

Can anyone tell me more? Thanks in advance.

Hi Tony14 -
Throw up a photo if and when you can. Maybe we can both get some info... A two for one deal[:D][:D][:D]. I'd love to see it.

Well, I just found it. Someone set a big box on the box I had my bottles in. It was in a million pieces[:(]. Only lost three bottles in total, and they were common. Good luck on your search for info.

Sorry to hear that Tony14! [:(] Can you post on even tell what the base marking or embossing is on yours?

Protect your other bottles. We hate hearing about broken ones.

I'm not even sure if I can do that! The other two bottles were the same color, so I can't tell the bases apart!

I did a search for you, but found nothing - (I speak french)
Is there nothing else on it?
I did find a reference to the name A. Cognet, but it was concerning knives....

Sorry!

Hannahbelle -
Thanks for the reply and search. That is all the embossing. I bet it had a label on the backside. I thought that it would be a common bottle, but me being in a buying mood (not often) that day, fell in love with it for $8. It needed a good home.[:D]

I came up with the same reference for A. Cognet. Thanks for your time.
