Paterson Guru's Guru kinda day

Spent 2-1/2 hours with the Guru and HIS Guru today going thru a book of detailed drawings of hundreds of bottles in the Ultra Guru's collection, real OLD SCHOOL bottle documentation. We were able to identify 12 new bottles for hutchbook.com, not to mention all the bottles I saw that I'd never heard of before, my head actually hurts from all the reading. The Ultra Guru not only does amazing detailed drawings but he documented the height, width, color, lip details, stopper details, and back & base embossing, I feel honored to be included in this meeting because it's the first time he's let anyone go thru the book.

Here is one of the pages so you get the idea about what I mean, he had planned on doing a Paterson Bottle book some years ago but never did, I'm sure he figured the time, workload and cost would not warrant such an effort.

Neat Stuff Jim,the hardest part is finding quality time to implement everything in a book or webpage.

Indeed Rob, there are hundreds of bottles he did this for. Everytime we thought we might have a 'One Of' bottle we got shot down, he has it in alphabetical order and he seemed to have almost every known bottle. I think I had two or three he didn't, but I wasn't gonna gloat then...lol
