This seems to be the bottle from ayers book. According to Bumpa it has all the same markings as the one in the book. Funny!

Now I'm wondering about MichaelFla's statement.....Is this a second bottle, or the one and only bottle, since it came from an auction sale in Virginia. Does anyone have a pic of the known bottle? As you can tell, mine has a chip on the bottom of the bottle.

I mentioned earlier that my scanner is not working right now otherwise I could get a pic of it. The bottle in the book has two bubbles above the "cap 6 1/2" and one on the neck. If that helps. The pic doesn't show the bottom.

I don't have the bottle in front of me, but looking at the pics I posted, I do not see any bubbles above the cap 6 1/2. But I do se a good size bubble half way up between the base and the Pepsi cola. Must be a different bottle.

I should have been more specific. It looks like about an inch above the cap 6 1/2 That the bubbles appear. Not directly above it. But even so if it is a second bottle maybe the value could be close to the one in the book! Excellent. (that puts it out of my price range if you were to want to sell it)Great bottle.

You make a valid point. The bubble patterns do not align. I added the textual details as well. At least, I hope I am. Still not sure I've got the hang of this. I guess if you can't have a "one-of-a-kind," one of only two known is the next best thing. Not sure how much the value would be effected, but I would think it would be very little.

Thanks for the info MichaelFla. Definately a different bottle. Mine has two bubbles and is very similar, but the bubbles on mine are higher, and one is larger than the other. On the picture you sent, they seem to be both larger and about the same size. I'm very happy with the bottle. The bottle I wanted was a blob top, which I believe was also from VA. He said he still needed to go through those bottles and price them out. For some reason, he gave me the Pepsi without checking it. Good for me.:)

If the book is from 2001 it's possible a cache was found and maybe they will start popping up all over. [8|]Dan might have heard but he hasn't posted since August.
