Hi Gang...

Sunday's show was unfortunately lightly attended... Probably the beautiful weather, the playoffs, etc. contributed... But, it might also be a part of that frightful trend toward the demise of bottle shows... This is my first full year of the Northeast bottle show circuit, and I've grown to love the shows... The people, familiar faces, the chats, the haggling over a couple of bucks, the "personalities"... All of it... I hope the trend reverses itself... We can all help by attending a show whenever we can!!!

Last show it was the plumbing; this show the caterer copped out, didn't show... The C.R.A.B. folks were so classy, they bought cold-cuts with fixin's and pizza for all the dealers free of charge... I'll be back next year even if I'm the only dealer to show!!!

Thanks to the treasurer of the Hudson Valley Bottle Club, my day wasn't a complete washout... His club has Bottle Bingo where the members play bingo for bottle prizes... He bought my aqua Phoenix Bitters (after much haggling) to be one of the top prizes for their next bingo session...

bear, thanks for the pictures. it looks like some great bottles there. i wish there were more shows close by here. i missed the union show and the columbia show isn't until february.

Hi John...

How far are you from NC? There are some large antique shows this month and the next... I know it's probably better to have an all-bottle show, but there's one of those coming up Nov. 20th... The Southeast Bottle Club Show in Greensboro, NC...

And, NC has quite a few shows in the spring and summer... Maybe you should get your own club going in SC... Sounds like there is a need!
