What does the bottom of the vase look like, and are there seams (two lines running up and down either side of the bottle). If there are seams, where do they begin and where do they stop? Are there bubbles in the bottle? Of so, are the bubbles long and stretched anywhere in particular (ie near the neck of the vase)?
I know that I cannot tell you what the vase is exactly, but we can probably tell you when it was made if you will elaborate on my above points.
Hi! I looked at the bottle (vase) and found a few bubbles in the neck that are elongated vertically. In the bottom half there are some, but they are round. On the bottom there is an oval indent and there is some glass that appears "stuck" on the base surface (looks like there was something glass attached and broken off). I'll include a picture of the base if that helps.
Thanks so much!
First, thanks to everyone who was kind enough to reply. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me. Strangely enough, I looked up art glass and found a decanter by Blenko (#5931) that looks very similar, but without the "head" in the middle. The measurements were not correct, though. So, I'm still lost.
David, you said it may be some kind of cosmetic bottle, but the bottle is 10 inches high and nearly 6 inches wide...what would they have put in it? Any more help or ideas would be really appreciated.
