7.75" Tall. Large C encircled on bottom. Three lines around the neck. I usually only buy medicine and poison bottles, but grabbed this at flea market since it looked different. Fifty Cent Bottle or Million Dollar Bottle? Lol! Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanx and Happy Digging/Collecting.

I remember these too, I think they're for measuring syrup amounts in the soda bottle filling machinery or something along those lines? I imagine the lack of embossing will make it not all that valuable, but since they were only used in the bottling plants they can't be that common.

Any idea what the big C on the bottom is?

Isn't that a crown lip? This looks to me like a soda (Coca Cola) bottle that didn't get all the way through a cycle of the ABMachine. In other words, a Coke bottle that never got inflated into the familiar skirted bottle.

The explanation I remember seeing for them was that they would be run through the machinery to test syrup levels, or something along those lines. The crown top was so that it would fit into the machinery like a standard bottle. I'm not entirely sure what exactly the point of a special bottle for syrup testing was, but it seems to be a specific Coca Cola item. They came with a wooden piece to make them fit into the Coke bottle processing equipment, seen here:

Looks like there are newer branded ones as well:

THANK YOU so very much. Looks like you nailed it. I would love to now find one of the wooden sleeves to add to this bottle. I usually can figure out or identify most items, but this had me stumped. Maybe that's why I stick with my poisons, Medicine and Bitters. Thanx again.

One can be made on a wood lathe if you know anyone. A replacement might be hard to find is all.
