Pontil puff???

I've heard the expression pontil puff a few dozen times now but I still have no idea what a pontil puff is? Can anyone tell me and please add some pics for show and tell. Thanx, Jason

Here is what I call pontil puffs. Small unmarked pontilled bottles. Sorry about the fuzzy pic I'm using the kitchen light.

Bottles that are called 'puffs' were usually bottles that were blown with only a couple puffs/blows from the glassblower.

Hey Jason...

The "Puffs" are pretty much freeblown, no seem marks, glass is extremely thin and fragile. Basically was a puff of air by the glassblower and he stretched the bottle into shape. They usually had very thin, fragile flared lips... I don't have one that is intact.. as I stated, they are very thin and fragile... I'll look for one and post it.
