Nice green, 6 1/8" tall, lightly ribbed glass from just above "shoulder" down, double lip (?), pontil scar, a few bubbles. Can anyone shed any light on this one?
That's an odd one, Linda. Without that reinforcing string, this might be thought of as a fairly-recent, hand-blown vase. But art vases are usually graceful and flowing, aren't they?
It looks too well-made to be a really early phial. The pontil scar looks modern. I dunno -- maybe it was an experiment by the glass-blower.
