It always feels great to pull an enamel sign out of the ground, even if it is a pretty worthless, generic one. Hence, today I was extremely happy to find this sign poking out from the dirt along the banks of the Thames River in London, Ontario. Looks to be in great shape, despite having fallen down the bank and being buried by countless rocks and other debris.
Does anyone have any idea as to age? I am guessing 1940s or 1950s.

Its kind of cool Sergio. I have no idea as to age. That thing would look great in any garage. Congrats.

What a great find!!!

It's difficult to determine age on a sign with a simple message and no Bell logo or advertising image that we know was used in a certain time period. Since it sounds like it was probably used in London, maybe ask some older folks in the area -- someone who remembers the 30s, 40s or 50s -- and see if they can recall when the city was using signs like this. Good luck... I'll be curious to see what you find out.
