Traded to me as a British, handblown, open pontil, poison.

Just looking for some confirmation about the poison part. Thanks

Its a Chemists 'Round'...... More than likely a syrup bottle. The stopper would typically be loose fitting a bit like the shape of a babys dummy.... They appear on ebay.co.uk quite regularly but not always pontilled..... Some have label under glass or gold transfer labels....

I would personally class it as a chemist bottle/poison.

Rob......

Hi Rob
Thanks for that quick reply. I was leaning toward some kind of chemistry bottle but was not sure. I have seen them on Ebay but usually with a ground glass neck and stopper.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cobalt-pontilled-apothecary-syrup-jar_W0QQitemZ6223435557QQcategoryZ69601QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

This has the syrup type stopper, but a different type of pontil...

Hope this helps...... rob.
