I'd you could find a matching pair would make a nice bench press plate on a weight bench.
Thanks Hemi! Have to wonder if those mill stones are still abandoned on that beach?!There is a famous town here in Michigan called Grindstone City. It has tons of giant grindstones laying all around the town. Link below. LEON.

Yep, definitely an old millstone. I too once dug a millstone in a bottle dump located about 1/4 mile from an old mill site. Dug around it for a couple of years before realizing it was a millstone not a bolder.Found this today and am curious if this is a mill stone. Not sure what to do with it and if it's worth anything.

Yes, these smaller stones were commonly used on farms for sharpening tools such as axes, scythes, etc.Looks more like a stone wheel for sharpening tools.
Mill stones are always great to put outside as a decor. So much history. Obviously for a home grinder.Found this today and am curious if this is a mill stone. Not sure what to do with it and if it's worth anything.

I also dug an old mill stone, but mine was behind an 1849 mill. I believe my stone was a drive belt stone as in a pulley system due to the grooves on the outside of the stone. Yours may also have been a drive pulley for the old leather straps they used for belts. That was very common to use flat leather straps in the 1800's. If you have ever been to an old cider mill, that's how it was done.Found this today and am curious if this is a mill stone. Not sure what to do with it and if it's worth anything.
