Calling all Maine diggers! Just over the town line (Westbrook) on Warren Ave there is a early 1800s farmhouse with intact attached barn. Development is encroaching on it from all sides, I think it's only a matter of time when it'll be lost to a big box store (Home D is 1/2 mile away) Everytime I drive by I keep thinking I should stop and see if permission to dig the privy(s) could be obtained. I haven't seen any I spake this outloud last weekend driving by with my wife and she says "oh, my mother has known those people all her life" I almost ran off the road![8D] Her mom is 83 years old and a sweetheart, so I'm going to ask if she will introduce me to the property owners. If I can get this lined up, would any of you be interested in helping out? (This was my wish for my own property, but once we put it on the market my realtor didn't think a privy dig was a good idea[&:])
