These pics are for Sandchip. He expressed interest in seeing this bottle. Dr. Edward Ing moved from Galveston to Houston Texas in 1862. All the adds that have been found for this product date between 1859-1861. The bottle has very crude embossing, and is blown from flint glass. I have seen a bitters from Texas, and a soda from Texas that are a bit earlier than this med, but that is it. The next oldest med bottle I own from Texas dates to the late 1860's. Bill Agee owned this bottle for many many years, and by shear luck I was able to buy his example. There has to be others out there, but none of the old time Texas collectors has seen one.

On a side note this bottle has the same lip treatment as the small oval Baltimore blown cobalt blue u.s.a. hops. dept. bottles, but the base is different.

Thanks for looking man, and commenting sir. I am pretty fond of local medicines, and it makes my day every time I add a new one to my collection.
