any info on pyrene mfg co...
got 2 bottles with a metal case around them...
one has ...we recommend use of this bottle when recharging fire extinguisher
with glasbake below that and acid line and heetpruf on the other side
base has pyrene mfg co with newark nj and the number 6

second bottle has...acid line on one side
and the number 2 on the base..
no other markings on this bottle...

sorry but my camara took a dive so no pics..
any info would be appreciated

They made fire extinguishers in the 30's and 40's, like the copper ones we had in school. These may have been the inserts for them. Filled with chemicals they interacted when the extinguisher was turned upside down. My guess was to create CO2 for a propellant but may have done more, I'm no expert.. They also made tire chains from what I just googled.
