"SMITH'S PERPETUAL CALENDAR ink bottle with the days of the month embossed around the side of the cone and the name of the months embossed around the outside of the base. It is embossed PAT'D APRIL 11TH 1882. An unusual ink bottle unlisted in Covill's." From.

I have always thought this was a very cool ink.

I'd love to see one with the paper (cardboard?) stuff around it that made it a functional calendar. Always one of my favorite inks, because it's odd shaped and because it's complicated. Just a fun piece.
