recent discoveries

I was asked to put a bid together to salvage an 1850's church that was about to fall to the ground in Cincinnati. In the corner of the church was a pharmacy that dates to the 1800's. In one of the basement nooks I discovered two metal boxes full of medicine bottles. I pulled a few out last night for display.

If I am going to ingest strychnine I at least ask that it be sugar coated

Most of the bottles are full of pills and this display is just a part of the small hoard that I discovered. At the time I found them I was not impressed because these are toc bottles but when cleaned up they are really nice

Cool finds...what is written on the fruit jar? I see a nice poison bottle there too..
