I did find a few pieces that fell outside the fence as the dirt was piled about 1 1/2 to 2 feet up the chain link fence holding back the mud but allowing glass to filter thru. After dinner I'll try to get some pics uploaded. Enjoy!
Hi Jeff you found it, and I am surprised that the site is not yet completely covered again because of the impending I-95 road widening project. I was told the sites last day was two weeks ago. It is apparent it is still fenced in and active.Good news and I noticed they covered up the tunnel going under the fence into the private property with a white plastic tarp.
Thanx Steve, I tought I was at a different site but hoping it was still on Dyottville grounds. So your saying the tunnel is under that white tarp in that distant shot?
Jeff Ill trade you a brick for some glass. I wasn't able to get much glass during my visit but Bricks from deep into the 1770 furnace...............[] Send me a private message if you are interested.
And the flip side. The panel has a partial seam and base but not enough to determine if it was pontiled, unfortunately no embossing. The lip is a typical early applied lip and matches the panel in color. The cullet is more citron in color.
Thanx Badger, it was nice to put faces and personalities to the names. Plus I saw myself in some of Rick's pics . . . I feel like a celebrity. Autographs?? Uh oh, paparazzi's at the door . . .
