I've run across an antique store that has 3 aqua colored small rectangular size inkwells with burst tops. I can't tell if they are pontiled or not without picking them up. They are in a glass case and I haven't wanted to alert the store clerk as to my interest yet. The shoulder areas of these inks has a raised section as if they are a design. They are not a fancy schoolhouse style, but they are not absolutely plain either. They are priced at $18 each. Are these worth more?

Sounds like British ink bottles with the raised area for pen nibs. They are VERY common unless they are in a color other than aqua. Not sure what they go for over here.

Thanks very much. I am mainly a western collector of early California bitters bottles. Inks aren't an interest of mine, but thought I'd better check with the forum just in case I ran across something underpriced and could flip.
