heres one i dug today, cant find any info, im excited! its the first red key ive found mike

madman, that neat. i've never heard of a red key jar before. are they scarce and is there a story behind the key?

Hi Madman,
Red Book 9 lists the one in your picture ground lip Qt aqua $15-18 and Qt clr at $35-50 but there are some variants that are worth more. Looks like a quart one in picture prices vary on other sizes. Hope this helps. Haven't dug any around this area.

MADMAN...I think these jars are under-evaluated. In all my years in the Hobby, I ain't seen but a couple....very attractive jar.

hey thanks guys!!!! ill have to get those stains out,it was standing straight up in the ground 1 foot down, ive found many of these but all were broken. mike

Hi Guys - I believe the Red Key Mason is named for the manufacturer in Redkey, Indiana. Nice find! -Tammy
