Clarification ... What I meant is, maybe the box was designed in connection with the styling on the award certificate.

Hey Bob, I posted this bottle a long time ago. Notice all the little stars above the main label. I don't suppose with all your research you did on Royal Crown bottles, if you ever came across an explanation for the added stars to the acl? I assume they just tacked them on to compliment the other two stars on the bottle.... Rick [attachment=Royal Crown a.JPG]

I forgot to add that it is a 1938 Owens-Illinois bottle, and it is from Cleveland, Ohio. I have never seen those extra stars on any other Royal Crown acl bottle.

Rick I don't recall ever seeing a Royal Crown Cola bottle that has the stars on it like yours - nor can I find a picture of another one. ???
