Some of you don't know what this is. It is not your usual yard sale. It is really about 10,000 yard sales through 6 states for 700 miles along US 127. We started in northern Ohio on Thursday and made it half way through Tennessee by Saturday afternoon when we had to stop. Many individuals who live along the route hold their sales and in towns there are usually fields where 10-400 dealers set up to sell. There may be good deals at the individual sales but if you stop at all of those you might only make 50 miles a day and miss the good collectibles at the larger fields. My strategy was to stop at individual sales the first day only and assume by the second day they had been picked over a thousand times, then concentrate on the fields where better collectibles can be found but for higher prices.
One of the first individual sales we stopped at had a lot of jars for $2 each. I only bought 10 jars because I was worried about space in the truck with 500 miles still to go. Shoulda bought more. Here is what I got. The amber one is a humidor, not a fruit jar.
