Great closeup! I'm surprised it allowed an image that large, but glad to see it. Has anyone ever done a detailed inspection of the subtle label differences ... little things like the little bush in the foreground, and the squiggly shadowing on the distant mountain? Not to mention the major differences like "all white" - "red vs white" etc; etc. I'm comparing one I have right now and noticed several differences. Not that it's a big deal, but it just makes me wonder. I especially like the fact that both Hillbillies are carrying moonshine jugs with them. The guy up front has one hanging by a shoulder strap, and the guy running for the outhouse is carrying one in his free hand. I guess those guys didn't go anywhere without them, even when they were being shot at. Perhaps this explains why they were so kill-crazy in the first place. Lol []
Pat, I was thinking that was the case. I know just enough about all of these Mtn. Dew bottles to be dangerous. I spotted this one in a pile of bottles, and knew it was better than ordinary, especially since it is in such good condition. bottlingco
That's is a mighty fine bottle you have there. I don't come across any of the S.C. Fulmer bottles, or have not until now. Would buy it off you if you consider selling it... Have to post a pic of my Mt. Dew bottles sometime here in the future. Have about 35 of the named hillbillies now.
Here's some more "Fulmer" bottles. Not only did they bottle Mnt. Dew, but Bireleys, Orange Crush, Choc. Soldier, Circle A, Buff. Rock and a few others. 1940s-60s
