Hello everyone, I first want to say it is so much fun reading everyone's posts about the bottles and collections. As a youngster I spent many days with my Grandparents and parents digging for treasures. I have attached a photo of one of the bottles we found and wondered if it would be of interest to anyone. I have a small collection of bottles we dug and don't have room for them anymore. I would much rather see them with someone who had them on display because some of them are very pretty. Feel free to contact me and let me know what you might be interested in and I will see if I have it. Thanks, Debbie

Hey Debbie,

What a nice blue beauty! Welcome to the forum. What other bottles do you have? I'm looking forward to seeing some of them.

Thank you everyone for the quick response. I only wish I knew what the bottle was worth, then I would have better answers. Can anyone give me an idea of the value? It is not chipped or cracked but as you can see it is stained as it was dug in Montana. I will check to see if I have anymore from Georgia and will take pictures of all the bottles I have so all can see. I have attached another picture but as I have said, I don't know the value so make me an offer.
Debbie

I have attached more pictures of the blue bottle from GA. I am asking $170 shipped. I understand it may not be worth that but as I don't really need to sell it and after seeing what some of them are going for on ebay I think this is a fair price. In the early 60's my grandparents got started digging bottles and took my family along when we had the time. It was fun going to old mining camps and towns looking for the little treasures that were hidden around the area. Looking for old dumps and outhouse holes was the job of the kids. You know, we had a lot more energy and needed to burn it off some how. I think we went to everyone of the places we could find between Missoula MT and Helena. I don't really remember digging any specific bottles but I do remember having a screwdriver and small hand spade and ever so carefully digging away, hoping to find the perfect bottle. Or maybe something just as cool. I have an old spittoon with several glass doll parts that we found. Of course, they were all spread out over several miles of digging area but it sure was fun looking.
