Aloha Everyone,
I had the day-off and decided to scout and hike Manoa Valley on the east side of Honolulu...I like Manoa Valley for the dense vegetation and beauty, it's hard to believe it's just a few minutes drive to downtown Honolulu, the trail is quite wide and later thins out to a walking trail, the trail leads to Manoa Falls a tourist destination where there is swimming at the falls, I wasn't up there for the swimming but scouting for some bottles, along the way there are old dilapidated houses, some are completely flat... Dumps of rubbish all over the bushes next to these houses or once was houses...Rubbish on the surface are mostly 1940's and 50's, I did find other places that had older glass, and one area with hand blown bottles unfortunately the only bottles that was not broken was un-embossed beers...Found a few small oriental medicines and a few marbles not much...Besides the mosquitoes it was quite nice being in nature, it's hard to believe all that rubbish that is in the brushes...Here are some pictures of what I saw along the way...
