Just got this one..I love it but want to know what was used for..Its about 6in tall and embossed on the bottom T.P.S & Co N.Y..and on the back PATENTED JUNE 2ND 1874..The guy i got it from called it the screaming baby

I saw that one on ebay. I was wondering what in the world it would have been used for. The thought crossed my mind, but opium for a crying baby seems all jacked up. And to advertise it so blatently is hilarious. I can't think of what else it would have been though, mabey some alcohol and opium concauction. "Dr. Stoner's Crying Baby Cure"
