One school I never went to in my district was Campbell. Heh. Looks to be 1920s or early '30s maybe? Very similar to mine.

LA bottles are pretty rare in general I was told. There was never one made (that we know of) with Louisiana spelled out on it in Pyro. Nice one.

Ok I know it said Favorite but I have a few favorites. The EW Blossom is probably my favorite oldie/pint. It is from 1906 Thatcher Manufacturing Company. I love the purple haze to it. The next is SR Howland Dairy Embossed Quart. Thatcher not sure of the year. It is my favorite embossed quart I own. I knew about the pyro bottle but not this one until a friend called and found it in NH for me. It is prettier then the pyro all day, great neck on it. And the last pic is of my favorite Pyros with a half pint. (the only ones I have, Westport/Acoaxet MA only had 3 dairies that I know of with Pyro bottles). Bojuma Farm Westport Harbor, Westport Mass, or Acoaxet would be on the bottle. The quart and half pint say Westport Harbor. The gallon and half gallon you can see it says Westport Mass. I love that group of bottles I own because the colors are great and they are all hard to find. If anyone has any of these I will pay good money for them. Awesome. It was my response to SHOW YOUR FAVORITE HUTCH!!! over in the Bottles General Chat, all to prove (didn't quite know how it'd go) that milk and other dairy-product bottles are just as cool. So far, seeing all great stuff!

Not many of the die hard bottle guys I feel enjoy milks. I feel like they're all about pontiled glass and old blown stuff. I love that stuff as much as next guy but I feel more of a connection with milk bottles. First off they have my town's name on them, not much stuff does, secondly I know people who worked for local dairies, and third it's amazing history. I know a lot of old glass has amazing history but like I said it's more of the connection thing for me.

Whatever hits close to home. I prefer soda-pop bottles myself, and many more soda-pops have my town's name on then than do milk bottles, but I understand the other parts as a former pastor of our Church, his family ran a dairy, and the history behind them can be fascinating. Also, their shape intrigues me. Soda-pops take on a common every-day shape we still see today. But dairy bottles, you only see a dairy bottle shape on something to do with dairy bottles. Usually, it's a dairy bottle. Heh.

Here's my two favorites, both from Federal Dairy of Providence, RI. The bottles are the same on the front with different backs. Federal Dairy was founded by my wife's grandfather some time in the 1940s, and I've managed to accumulate a pretty good collection of items - 11 different bottles, a milkbox, milk/cream can, delivery crate, various milk bottle caps, and several advertising thermometer calendars. Collecting bottles from this dairy led to my love of old bottles, and to a much larger general collection, which has since been whittled down to just a few locals to go along with the Federal stuff. If anyone ever comes across any Federal Diary oddball items, I'm always interested!
