Ok,I need some info on this case gin,it came out of a 1860-1900 dump.
I found it along side some old regular sized gins, this as got me stumped. It stands 8" high 2 3/4" across the shoulder, tapers down to a 2" base.
On the base is a rough pontil, the mould seam goes all the way to the top,but there are a number of abnormalities.
At one side the mould line is split by a bubble, the line goes away to the middle near the bottom, the inside the lip is very sharp.
Also the mould line is really raised, and just below the shoulder on each side is a thin line like you would see on a 3 piece mould.
I really need some feedback on this one.One last thing there seems to be a very faint 83 (maybe) on the bottom.
